The special technological aspects of these components produced by BREL International are the materials of the contact areas, which contains no Nickel, so they are nonmagnetic. The contact areas are made by noble metal alloys based on Pt-Ag and Pt-Pd-Ag, available as thickfilm pastes, which are applied by roller-coating or dipping
processes onto the wrap-around areas of the chip components and fired in the range of 850ºC. |

Type CLC-Miniature Ceramic Capacitor
The CLC series MLCC-Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor is available in four case sizes. The CLC2 is only 0.040" high by 0.050" wide by 0.100" long, the same size as the BREL Tantalum CLT "W" case size. This allows the lower capacitance value ceramic capacitors to fit into the same designs as the BREL tantalum capacitor's "W" case size. It uses the same solder coated pure nickel lead wire as our RMB16 and CLT series and is suitable for either soldering or welding. Axial or Radial Leads (CLC1 only). |

Type CLT-Miniature Tantalum Capacitor
The CLT series is now available in three case sizes. These precision micro-miniature polarized capacitors are especially suitable for general filtering, de-coupling, bypassing, and RC timing application. The CLT series operates to +85C without derating and up to +125C with derating. The favorable capacitance to volume ratio has made this series the leader in high-density application such as hearing aids. |
